Natural Home Remedies For Shiny Soft Hair

I love IRIS star Kim Tae Hee's beautiful long hair!

Is your hair dry and damaged, and lacking in shine and vitality? It can be attributed to the excessive amount of harmful chemicals or heat that your hair was exposed to during bleaching, perming, rebonding, straightening and any other chemical process if you can think of, or simply because of the UV rays emitted from the sun. If you do not use hair conditioner at all and your shampoo is too drying. That could be the reason too. Here I suggest some really effective natural home remedies to help you bring the shine and bounce back to your hair.

Egg yolk is rich in protein with all the essential amino acids you need, and also vitamin B12 and E which are essential for healthy hair. Try making egg shampoo by beating 2 egg yolks in a glass of hot (but not boiling) water and soak hair and scalp. Cover your hair in shower cap, towel or plastic wrap for 1 hour before washing out thoroughly with normal shampoo and lukewarm water.

Olive oil is good for hair too. The mono-unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidant properties of olive oil make it an excellent conditioner for dry and damaged hair. Use it to massage your scalp to promote hair growth and prevent dandruff or hair loss. You can also mix it with egg yolks to make your own hair mask (hair pack). Mix 2 tablespoons of olive oil with 1 eggs. Apply throughly to your hair. Cover your hair in shower cap, towel or plastic wrap for 30 minutes before rinse (with lukewarm water) and conditioning.

Honey, a natural moisturiser, has vitamins, minerals and antioxidant properties, most suitable for fixing dry and damaged hair. Mix 2 tablespoons of honey with 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Apply throughly to your hair. Cover your hair in shower cap, towel or plastic wrap for 30 minutes before washing out thoroughly with shampoo and lukewarm water. For shiny hair, mix fresh orange juice (from one orange), some water, 1 tablespoon of honey and a few drops of sandalwood oil. Use as an after-shampoo rinse. The rich vitamin C from the citrus helps circulation in hair scalp.

Banana is also a good source of hair-essential vitamins - the vitamin B6 and C. Mash a ripe banana and mix in a few drops of almond oil or jojoba oil. Massage into your hair. Leave it on for about 15 minutes. Rinse with soda water before shampooing and conditioning.

If your hair has become dull and dry because of the build up of excessive shampoo and conditioner in your hair, vinegar might be one viable solution. After shampoo and conditioner, rinse your hair with vinegar. Or apply it on your hair for about 10 minutes before washing if off with warm water. You can keep some vinegar in a spray bottle and fridge it for future use.

Mayonnaise, which contains eggs, lemon juice, vinegar and olive oil, can also do wonders to your hair. This is an effective remedy for dry and rough hair. Apply a good amount to your hair. Cover your hair in shower cap, towel or plastic wrap for 30 minutes. Rinse with soda water. Then shampoo and condition.

Milk is also an excellent moisturising agent for your hair. Apply some milk to your hair and then rinse off with cool water. Rub some ice cubes along the entire length and then comb it.
