Homemade AHA Body & Hand Cream Lotion

In a previous post titled "AHA Treats Acne and Minimize Pores", I mentioned about the benefits of AHA in skincare products. In fact, AHAs are naturally found in fruits such as grapes in the form of tartaric acid and milk in the form of lactic acid. You can use them to make your own AHA body and hand creams at home. Here's how...

Homemade Grape Cream Lotion
1) Blend 5 green grapes, 1 tsp. lemon juice, 1 tsp. castor oil and 1 tsp. orange juice in a blender or food processor on low speed for 20 seconds, or until smooth.
2) Apply to your skin as needed.
3) Store the remaining lotion in an airtight container and refrigerate up to 3 days.

Homemade Milk Cream Lotion
1) Warm 1/2 cup of cow or goat milk and 1/2 cup honey in a medium saucepan over medium heat for 5 minutes, or until they are well blended. Avoid soy or any other type of milk substitute as these do not contain lactose.
2) Allow the mixture to cool.
3) Apply the lotion as needed.
4) Pour the remaining lotion into an airtight container and refrigerate up to 1 week.
