Home Made Acne Mask
I have experimented with various home remedies for my acne, and I finally did get one that did work quite well, This mask not only helped with controlling my acne, but also helped to eliminate my fine lines, and gave my skin a more refined, even and beautiful complexion. The results keep getting better the more you use it, and in time you will reveal a clear, beautiful and acne free complexion.
The ingredients you will need are:
1. Clay, you can use french green clay, rhassoul mud or bentonite clay. I personally prefer rhassoul mud as it helps to draw out impurities, but you can experiment and see which one works best for your skin type
2. Apple cider vinegar, use two or three tablespoons if you have particularly oily skin, and less if your skin tends to be dry.
3. Strawberries, four or five
4. Lemon juice, 2 tablespoons
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl or blender, you can add some argan oil, which comes from the argan spinosa kernel. It is a plant that grows in Morocco, and farmed only by berber women, try to obtain organic, cold pressed argan oil, as this has the most beneficial ingredients still intact.
If you have very dry skin, but it is beneficial for both as it has a high level of vitamin e, which helps to fade the acne scarring and marks, this oil helps to combat acne while it moisturizes your skin, and has excellent anti-aging benefits.
Leave mask until its dry, and then rinse well with warm water. You can apply your usual moisturizer after this. Do not be alarmed if your skin turns pink, this is due to the exfoliation of dead skin cells because of the hydroxy acids present in the fruit.
Please do a patch test first and test for any sensitivity. This anti-aging and acne mask is great as you can adjust levels of any ingredients and tailor it to your needs. The acne mask can be refrigerated for about four days, it may be longer, just make sure to check that it does not smell rancid.
Use your acne mask once a week, when your skin starts to tolerate the mask then increase the use up until a maximum of four days. Do not use the mask everyday, as this will cause your skin to become sensitive, and leaves no time for skin recovery. Lastly, do not forget to use a sunscreen daily after this acne mask.
